Emily joined Astute in 2023 as a Recruitment Coach and is our Neurodiversity Champion. Emily works as part of Astute’s People Team with a focus on supporting new and existing staff to be the best they can be in the world of recruitment through the use of 1-2-1 bespoke coaching and wider training sessions aligning with the company strategy.
Following from studying philosophy at the University of Southampton, Emily pursued a career in recruitment and for more than eight years has worked in various fields including Renewables, Insurance, IT, Finance, Pharmaceuticals, and local Authority, covering UK and EMEA markets; Emily’s focus is on delivering exceptional candidate experiences through effective communication. Mastering client management is key, whether in face-to-face meetings or navigating remote collaborations, showcasing her ability to build strong relationships, even across language barriers.
After a fulfilling family break, Emily returned to the recruitment scene as a Coach, guiding individuals to success. Emily’s passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace culture, with a special emphasis on neurodiversity inclusion. Outside of the office, she enjoys diving into books, indulging in her love for films, and, fun fact – she used to be a dancer, gracing stages in London’s West End and Disneyland Paris. Emily’s guiding principle is, “Never underestimate the power of listening – you never know what valuable insights you might uncover!”
