Karen Daniels is a dedicated and experienced accounts professional with extensive expertise in finance and credit control. Since joining Astute People in 2015 as a Finance Administrator, Karen has progressed to her current role as Finance Team Leader & Credit Controller, where she plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Finance Department. She combines leadership with hands-on expertise to manage financial transactions, debt recovery, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
Karen’s skill set includes developing dynamic financial reports, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices to enhance business performance. Her proactive communication style and ability to foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams enable her to deliver consistent results and contribute to Astute People’s success.
With over 20 years of finance experience, Karen has held senior positions across industries, managing complex accounts, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies, and implementing innovative reporting solutions. Her achievements include managing debt, optimising system capabilities, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. Karen’s biggest achievement is consistently keeping DSO ‘Days Sales Outstanding’ to is 34 days or below.
Outside of work, Karen is a devoted mother who values time with her son, navigating the adventures of parenthood with energy and enthusiasm. She enjoys planning her travels and dreams of exploring the picturesque landscapes of Sicily and Croatia, with Zambia being a personal favourite for its thrilling experiences.
