Matt commenced his journey with Astute in February 2007 as a Trainee Consultant, and has since ascended to the pivotal role of Sales Director. In this capacity, he diligently oversees the sales strategy and overall performance of the Recruitment Teams. His leadership has been instrumental in steering Astute’s focus towards excellence in the Power Generation, Renewable Energy, and Nuclear Recruitment sectors.
With an impressive track record, Matt has held roles including Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Team Leader within the Power Division. His commitment and expertise have been pivotal in collaborating with both companies and candidates, ensuring the delivery of superior service. This dedication has been a cornerstone in establishing Astute as a preeminent supplier of technical staff within the Power Generation Industry.
Outside the professional realm, Matt harbours a passion for motor racing, having participated in several 24-hour racing events. Balancing his career and hobbies, Matt is also a devoted family man, sharing his life with his wife, three young children, two dogs, and two cats. The increasing demands of family life have made such pursuits more infrequent, yet Matt finds great joy in the time spent with his family.
In addition to his professional and personal life, Matt contributes to the community as the Chairman of a local scout group, which nurtures more than 250 young individuals. His involvement in this role showcases his commitment to supporting and developing young talent, reflecting his leadership and nurturing qualities both in and out of the workplace.
