Before joining Astute People, Matt served as Financial Director a leading tool hire company for eight years, where he played a pivotal role in the business’s success. His tenure included leading a private equity-backed management buyout in 2019 and stepping up as Interim Chief Operations Officer in 2023 to oversee strategic and operational developments.
Matt began his career at an LLP, where he spent nearly 16 years progressing to Client Manager. During this time, he gained extensive experience in accounting, auditing, and corporate tax, solidifying his reputation as a trusted financial professional. At Astute People, Matt is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that support the company’s continued growth and stability. His analytical approach and strategic mindset ensure Astute People remains financially robust as it expands its recruitment services across the power generation, nuclear, and renewables sectors.
