Aaron Rayner is a Senior Recruitment Partner in Astute’s Renewable energy team.
For the latest in Our People profile series, he spoke to Sam Bradshaw about why he joined the team.
How did you get into recruitment?
A good friend of my wife’s works for Astute and mentioned the role and business to me when we used to take our children to gymnastics. When the company I was working for went fully remote after Covid, I felt it was the right time to make a change.
What roles have you filled recently and at what types of companies?
I’ve recently filled several AD Plant Managers, Operators, EC&I Techs, Engineers and Project Engineers.
I’m very lucky to work with and have good relationships with some of the leading AD businesses throughout the UK,
What is your favourite thing about working as a Senior Recruitment Partner at Astute?

What have you enjoyed most about your recent successes as a Senior Recruitment Partner?
Being promoted to a Senior Recruitment Partner this year. It’s shown that the hard work and support I’ve been given have paid off.
What is the most exciting thing about your market?
The growth within AD is looking great for the future and I can’t wait to continue being a part of it and supporting clients old and new.
What advice would you give someone who is looking to join Astute/recruitment?
Be prepared to put in the time and hard work, but the support you will receive and the end result will definitely be worth it.
