Emily Wright is an Executive Assistant at Astute, supporting the Directors’ Team with a diverse range of tasks, from coordinating projects to organising events.
For Astute’s Our People series, she spoke with Sam Bradshaw about her journey and recent achievements.
How did you get into your role at Astute?
I had been working part-time at Astute while studying at university, and when I graduated, I was offered a full-time position as an Executive Assistant. It was a new role at Astute, and something that my degree set me up well for.
What do you do for Astute?
I work at Astute as our Executive Assistant, supporting the Directors’ Team. My role involves coordinating projects, completing tenders, managing our ISO systems, organising events and travel, reviewing processes, minuting meetings and keeping track of actions, collating presentations, and more.
What is your favourite thing about working at Astute?
The culture and people.
Everyone is genuinely lovely to work with, and we have such a supportive environment and a great work/life balance.
What have you enjoyed most about your recent projects?
I’ve enjoyed collaborating with different teams to bring about process improvements, which will increase efficiency and allow us to work more effectively.
What is the most exciting thing about your role?
The variety and the amount of impact it can have on the wider business.
No two days are the same, and I enjoy being able to add value to the business.
I also love planning our incentives and events and seeing everyone have fun!
