The South Clyde Energy Centre represents a significant investment in Scotland’s green energy future.

Designed to process up to 350,000 tonnes of residual, non-recyclable waste annually, the facility will prevent this material from being sent to landfills. Instead, it will be converted into renewable energy, generating enough electricity to power 70,000 homes each year.

Not only does this innovative project reduce reliance on landfills, but it also aligns with Scotland’s commitment to stop biodegradable waste from being sent to landfill sites.

By diverting waste, the South Clyde Energy Centre will contribute significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, supporting Scotland’s net-zero ambitions.
