Project Manager – Solar

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a UK based renewable energy company who specialises in the development, construction and operation of utility scale solar projects, to recruit a project manager for its Bristol or Edinburgh site.

The strategically important project manager role comes with £65,000- £70,000 salary and flexible working.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Operations Director you will:

• Manage the projects from the sales department handover, throughout the project lifecycle and finally to the customer and their maintenance team.
• To be aware of planning applications and to complete prior to construction beginning.
• Develop project plans, ensuring timelines, budgets and resources are allocated effectively.
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, to make sure work is completed to schedule.
• To make sure complete project compliance, in line with CDM 2015
• Maintain project documentation, including, RAMS, fire and emergency plans and traffic management documents.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on a regular basis.
• Conduct project meeting and provide projects updates

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• Project Management experience within utility scale solar
• Local authority planning application experience
• Knowledge of CDM regulations

• Excellent organisation skills
• Fantastic communication, across verbal and written platforms
• Able to work effectively and to tight deadlines
