Modern Slavery Act

Astute People operates in the white-collar engineering and technical recruitment and staffing sector, supplying both contract/temporary and permanent services.

It commits to protecting its staff, candidates and clients, as far as is practically possible, from acts of modern slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour, and/or human trafficking.

This follows through to strict due diligence through its supply chain and there is a separate policy for this available, complying with the controls imposed under ISO9001:2015.

In essence, we only operate only with white-collar technical candidates, roles and clients that operate ethically in this regard.

Part of the role qualification process we follow for each and every job order we take includes the work environment, health, safety and environment, working conditions and working hours.

These are also confirmed with a site visit, where possible to eradicate all and any risks associated.

Furthermore, we primarily operate in the UK and Western Europe, where we understand that the risks are very low.

Staff training is available via our intranet, known as The Hub.

The policy document is in a secure drive and is both approved and signed by the Managing Director.
